Peter attended the University of Windsor where he obtained his Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science in 1994. He attended the University of Windsor Faculty of Law where he obtained his Bachelor of Law Degree in 1997 and was called to the Ontario Bar in February 1999.

Peter has always been active in the community and currently sits as a Director on The Canadian Italian Business and Professional Association of Sault Ste. Marie, and Villa Santa Maria. Peter is also a committee member on the Sault Ste. Marie Planning Advisory Committee and he is a Director on the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce. Peter is a past Board Member of the Sault Ste. Marie and 49th Field Regiment R.C.A. Historical Society.

Peter is a member of the Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie North.

Peter is a Continuing Education Instructor for Sault College of Applied Arts and Technology and has taught the courses "Being a Landlord", "Wills and Powers of Attorney" and "Hiring a Contractor".

Peter is able to provide services in the Italian language.

Peter is married to Rene and they have two children, Michael and Keira. Rene is an elementary school teacher with the Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board.

Peter is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Algoma District Law Association and (through the firm) a member of the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce.
